About Us
Willow Point is a neighborhood of 314 homes in the East Cobb section of Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia. It is a beautiful community of homes built in the 1970’s and 80’s on spacious ½ acre wooded lots. Due to the original developer’s protective covenants and concerned homeowners the neighborhood has maintained its fine appearance over the years.
Willow Point is in the school zone for the top-rated schools of excellence; Mount Bethel and Timber Ridge Elementary, Dickerson Middle, and Walton High School.
The neighborhood has landscaped entrances and nice amenities maintained by the Willow Point Homeowners Association. There is a swimming pool, a pavilion, 2 tennis courts (resurfaced summer 2022) with a roofed viewing stand, 2 children’s playgrounds, and a basketball court. 270 of the homes are permanent members of the homeowners association with voting rights and full use of the facilities.
Willow Point prides itself in living up to its original motto of “A community of beautiful homes and friendly people”. The homeowners association supports neighborhood socials. We kick off summer with Out of School and Into the Pool, Dive In Movies, Back to School, Halloween, and an Easter Egg Hunt in the spring. There are also very popular adults only events in the fall and for the Holiday Party.
There is an active Willow Point Women’s Club which meets monthly in members’ homes with interesting programs and social events throughout the year. The Women’s Club decorates the neighborhood entrances for the holidays, awards a monthly “Yard of the Month”, and welcomes new residents.
Willow Point is in a relatively crime free area and has an active Neighborhood Watch program working closely with the Cobb County Police Department. The homeowners association hires an off-duty policeman to randomly patrol the neighborhood to help maintain vehicular safety on our roads. There are several ALTA tennis teams and the children 5-18 can participate in the JAWS swim team which is a joint team with neighboring Jackson’s Creek. Willow Point is close to excellent and varied shopping facilities, and fast food and upscale restaurants. It is also a short distance from the Chattahoochee Nature Center and designated walking and bike paths and parks at Azalea Drive along the Chattahoochee River. East Cobb Park, Roswell’s Riverside Park, and the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area are also nearby.
